Couple compatibility with BaZi: enter the date, time and place of birth of two people — the calculation lays two complete charts over each other and shows how they are linked. Free, with no made-up percentages.
The calculation usually takes a few seconds · Single Zi Ping lineage · no artificial love percentage
Most “compatibility by date of birth” tools take one detail from each birth date — a sun sign, a Chinese zodiac animal or a number — and reduce a couple to a table of 144 cells. This one works differently. From the date, time and place of birth it builds two complete BaZi charts of eight characters each, then lays them over each other: which branches match, which combine, which clash, and what each of you is to the other in terms of the Ten Gods.
The result is not turned into a percentage. “78% compatible” looks convincing, but classical BaZi gives no honest way to add it up: the same link holds one couple together and puts pressure on another. So the screen shows the links and roles themselves, and the meaning is explained in words.
| Sign compatibility | BaZi chart compatibility | |
|---|---|---|
| What is compared | one sign per person: sun sign or year animal | all four pillars of both charts: year, month, day and hour |
| Number of possible pairs | 144 (12 × 12) — millions of couples get the same answer | practically a unique pair of charts |
| What matters most | the year or month of birth | the day branch, the “spouse palace”, and both Day Masters |
| Birth time needed | no | yes: the hour pillar is a quarter of the chart |
| Outcome | “a good match / not a match” | a map of links: where the couple supports each other, where it rubs, where it clashes |
The year animal that Chinese zodiac compatibility relies on is an outer layer in BaZi: it says more about family and surroundings than about intimacy. A couple is read first through the day pillar — its stem is you, its branch is your partner’s place in your chart. The article BaZi Compatibility: 5 Layers explains why.
Start with the two Day Masters. If your partner’s stem is resource or wealth to you, and you are output or power to them, the couple has a clear division of roles: who supports, who directs. If both are “Friend” or “Rob Wealth” to each other, you are more like peers, and the couple’s theme is competition and shared resources.
Then look at the day branches. A combination between the day branches is a strong link in the most personal zone of the chart. A clash between them brings liveliness and frequent change that the couple has to learn to live with. Links on the year and month pillars concern families, social circles and daily life more than the two of you.
And remember that links do not add up to a verdict. In one couple a clash means constant arguments, in another a shared pace and momentum. What tips the balance depends on the strength of each chart and on which elements each person needs. The free calculation shows the structure. The PDF reading turns it into text and is built fresh from the couple’s data. The Short reading has ten chapters: exact links between the two charts, the Day Master dynamic, communication and a conflict protocol, a 30-day practice for the couple. The Full reading has eighteen: everything in the short one plus emotions, daily life and personal boundaries, money and shared decisions, families, crises and recovery. Prices are shown after the calculation. The reading describes the couple and gives questions to check, not predictions of a wedding or a break-up.
Not with this calculation: it needs the date, time and place of birth of both people, because BaZi compatibility is also read through the hour pillar. Without a time you can calculate a personal three-pillar chart in the BaZi calculator and run the couple calculation once the time is found.
Sign compatibility compares one sign per person, so every couple with the same signs gets the same answer. BaZi compares two complete charts of eight characters each: the branches of all pillars, their combinations and clashes, and the roles the two Day Masters play for each other.
Classical BaZi has no honest way to reduce a couple to one number: the same link supports one couple and strains another. The calculation shows the links and roles themselves and explains their meaning in words.
Yes. Both charts, the links between them and the roles of the two Day Masters are shown free right after you enter the data. Only the couple PDF reading is paid: a short one with ten chapters and a full one with eighteen.
The day pillar. Its stem, the Day Master, is the person; its branch is the spouse palace, the partner’s place in the chart. The link between the two day branches and the roles of the two Day Masters are the main axis of a couple.
Yes. The form lets you choose the type of relationship: romantic partner, spouse, friend, colleague or relative. The links between the charts are calculated the same way for any two people; what changes is how you apply them.
