This is a metaphor for 偏印: it grants knowledge of the hidden, the ability to see "behind the curtain" of reality. But just as a night bird is disoriented by day, a 偏印 carrier can feel uneasy in "normal" social space.
4 偏印 for women: motherhood and children
One of the painful topics around 偏印 is its effect on 食神 (shí shén) for women. Since for a woman 食神 symbolizes the first child, a strong, untamed 偏印 in the chart was traditionally considered a sign of difficulties with childbearing or motherhood.
