2027 in BaZi is 丁未 (ding wei): the Heavenly Stem 丁 (ding) is Yin Fire — a candle's flame, not a bonfire; the Earthly Branch 未 (wei) is the Goat, dry Earth at the tail end of summer. The year begins not on January 1st or Chinese New Year, but at 立春 (lì chūn — "start of spring"), around February 4, 2027. Hidden inside 未 are three concealed stems: 己 (ji, Yin Earth, the primary one), 丁 (ding, Yin Fire), and 乙 (yi, Yin Wood). The Ox's Metal is discipline, order, sharp decisions, and sometimes parting ways with something that's served its purpose.
