Looking at the year as a whole, the Goat has three strong working windows: March (a start), June (support) and November (release). And three tense ones: July (maximum load), October (conflicts over terms) and January (a change of role). The remaining months are neutral. In practice that means that in tense months there is no point demanding the maximum from yourself; you need to allow for a buffer.
4 Changing jobs in a 本命年: what the classics say
A direct ban on changing jobs in your own year is folklore. The classical texts say something else: 伏吟 is linked with 動 (dòng), "movement", and a person in such a year often initiates a change themselves or finds themselves in one. The question is not whether to change but how to change.
Good conditions for a move are created by March (the General Star and 半三合 亥卯未), November (the same alliance) and June (午未合, support from outside). Undesirable ones are October (戌未破 easily destroys agreements after they are settled) and January (丑未冲, a move through a clash).
If you tend to change jobs "in the heat of the moment", after a conflict, a grievance or a review of terms, October is the most dangerous month for that. A decision taken in a state of 破 often has to be revised. Prepare the move in advance and choose dates by your own chart.

6 Typical scenarios of the year
The expert in your place. You have done the same thing for many years and done it well. The year makes you noticeable: you are invited to speak, asked to train juniors, offered the role of curator. Do not refuse automatically, but negotiate resources: time, help, pay.
The manager. The General Star in March suits formalizing a new structure, arranging people and distributing areas. In July, at the peak of 未未, you will have to take on more pressure than usual. Use June to put supports in place.

- Does the theme repeat? If your fatigue and irritation are connected with things you already went through at earlier jobs, this is 伏吟 in its pure form: the year shows your stable pattern. Changing the place without changing the pattern will produce the same result a year later.
- Is there a resource? If you are tired but you receive recognition, money or training, it is a load, not a dead end. If you are tired and get nothing back, that is a reason to rethink the role.

- Fix areas of responsibility in August. Robbery Sha loves blurred boundaries.

- Do not leave heavy conversations for January. November, with the 亥卯未 alliance, is more convenient.
9 Mistakes of the year
The first mistake is to hide. A 本命年 raises visibility, and the strategy of "sitting it out" works poorly: you will be noticed anyway, only on other people's terms. The second, the opposite, is to grab every new opportunity because it feels that attention must be used. The third is to make decisions in the sharpest months, October and January, when the air in the team is electric. The fourth is to put down to 太歲 (Tai Sui) what is in fact accumulated fatigue or an unresolved conflict.
