2 The year 2027: roles shift

The year 丁未 is neutral for the Monkey by branches: there are no direct links, and the forecast for the Monkey explains that the Goat's Earth generates Metal and the background of the year is even and quietly supportive. A caveat: 未 is dry Earth, and the classics warn 燥土不生金, "parched Earth does not generate Metal"; the Monkey is rescued by its own hidden Water 壬, so support exists, but without great scope.
