Pig and Pig:
two rivers without banks

"We're 78% compatible" is not how BaZi measures a couple. The system has no single number. It has several layers of interaction between two charts, and a pair can be brilliant on one layer and strained on another. Comparing birth-year animals reaches only the outermost layer, so treat what follows as background.

When two Pig people meet, it usually begins with each liking the other from the first minute. Both know how to listen, neither hurries, and neither asks for explanations where a smile is enough. Evenings pass in conversation, dinners stretch out, and arrangements somehow settle themselves. 3 Water and Water: what is missing

In the Five Elements, two identical elements neither generate nor control each other: they sit side by side, like two rivers flowing into one lake. The classics call this relation Friend (比肩, bǐ jiān, "shoulder to shoulder"), meaning equality and brotherhood. Yet water has a natural weakness: it needs banks. Banks are given by Earth, and in our cycle control runs as 土克水 (Earth controls Water). If the charts of both have little Earth (戊, 己, 辰, 戌, 丑, 未), it is harder for the pair to finish what they start.

In practice this means you will have to build structure together, deliberately. Agree on simple things: a fixed time to get up, regular expenses on one date, a list of tasks for the week. These are not dull formalities but banks that keep the water from spreading out.

Let us describe a typical scenario so it is clearer what we mean. Saturday. Both woke up late, and nobody is in a hurry. Breakfast turns into lunch, lunch into a walk, the walk into a visit to friends. By evening it turns out that not one item on the list was done, but the mood is excellent. That is the strong side of the pair: the ability to be together and enjoy it.

Now Monday. One partner remembered that a bill needed paying, the other thought the first had paid it. Both are embarrassed, both feel at fault, and nobody is angry. A month later the same thing repeats, now with a fine. In a year a list of "forgotten" things builds up, and with it a hidden fatigue: "I'm the only one who keeps track of everything." Quiet hurt. One didn't say it, the other didn't notice. The fix: the rule "don't store up for more than a week" and the simple question "what is bothering you now?"

Shared "spreading out". A home with no routine, goals postponed. The fix: one fixed ritual a day (a walk, exercise, dinner at the same time) and one project per quarter.

9 Two Pigs in 2027

The year 丁未 (dīng-wèi), the Fire Goat, begins around February 4 (立春, Start of Spring). For the Pig 亥 the branch 未 gives a Three Harmony 三合 亥卯未 (a triple union of Wood), incomplete because there is no Rabbit 卯 in the year, but it appears in the calendar as the month 癸卯 (roughly March 6 to April 4), and then the trio is complete. How to use the year. In the first half, especially in March, formalize what you have long postponed: a joint plan, a change of housing, study.
